Split: Hide Media title and Published Date

I added the rule to the Theme Global Custom CSS rule box but the published date is still showing up. Here’s a link to the page which is part of the Easy Digital Downloads plugin I installed. I already contacted the plugin publisher and they say this is a theme issue.

The theme has option to simply Hide the published date on a post.

in the legacy admin it is in main options > post specifics > Post meta info area

In the customizer in Where mode it is at the bottom of Post specifics > Post meta info lines.

You can select the whole info line (top or bottom), or only certain categories (like the date)

I unchecked the Hide Post Date box but the Post Date is still showing. I made sure to clear the cache. I also checked it on my phone.

The hide post date should be checked.

Can you also try to check Hide top info line

Hide Post Date was checked when I got to that page. Without reading carefully, I went ahead and unchecked thinking that would fix it. Hiding the top info line did the trick. Thanks!

@weaver, something is broken in the post info lines.

For example if you check Hide post date, it hides the text “posted on”, but not the date itself.

I have not re tested all the options

There is indeed an issue which I think I have fixed.

I don’t know if it is a new WP “feature”, but the WP function that returns the published info will return a REVISION date if the post has been revised.

I’ll double check that for the 6.1.90 beta release which is very close!

The easiest solution with the current version it to use the option to hide the entire info line instead of the individual parts.
