html code showing on Forum notice

FYI, this html code is showing for me on phone and tablet. Reboot and reload does not clear:

Logged in on both devices.

All was well 9 hours ago….

Am out so have not checked pc yet.

This is weird as I do not have that.

I assumed you have tried to log out, clear all browser cache and cookies and tried again

That said the fact that you get it on different devices would point to some corruption in your account.

@weaver would know better what could cause a corruption like that on a single user….

Been looking at this in F12 Inspect and can see no obvious error or warning or issue messages or anything that looks odd – though I’m not so skilled in that  🙂

Under Elements is simple says:

and:

What is just what you see….

The code appears to be the shortcode than puts on the message when people are not logged in.

The fact you are actually seeing the shortcode normally means the bracketed shortcode is not being executed, possibly because a plugin is not working.

What I fail to grasp is what can make that only happen to you….

You really need @weaver input for that

Yes agreed. I also does not matter  if I am signed in or not. Same issue.

Just tried a new  TOR browser on my phone… Same issue.

So it looks like it is coming in to me this way….

I’m seeing it too at the top of the home page. I’m logged in. The bbPress Weaver plugin was updated a couple of weeks ago, but it doesn’t make any sense why that hasn’t been showing before now. I will have to look into it.

Got it fixed. I have no clue how it happened, but apparently the Weaver Theme Support plugin got turned off. That meant the [hide_if] short code was not working.

Unfortunately the Forum cache is about 12 hours, so not fixed here yet for non-logged-in users.  But it will cone soon…. 🙂
