background color for menu item

I know I have asked this before and did look at my old questions no luck. I would like to add a background color on the menu behind Store which is a static menu link? The site got hacked and lost what I did download was not up to date.

when I scroll over the background color goes away?

#menu-item-1467:hover {background-color:blue;}

If you had read the whole thread, you would have noticed we came to the conclusion the best rule was not the one I mentioned in the first post 🙂

The selector needs to include the link tag and important

#menu-item-1467 a {background-color:blue;}

#menu-item-1467 a:hover {background-color:blue !important;}
