ParticipantHi @Weaver and Scrambler!
While checking on other issues I now find I am getting these wp_debug messages constantly.
They come in pairs with nothing between them as per below, and it seems they are compression related.
Just curious, are they related to Xtreme CSS and JS compression?
[01-Jul-2021 00:39:40 UTC] Zlib output compression ENABLED [01-Jul-2021 00:39:40 UTC] GZhandler output buffer compression DISABLED [01-Jul-2021 00:39:42 UTC] Zlib output compression ENABLED [01-Jul-2021 00:39:42 UTC] GZhandler output buffer compression DISABLED

Moderatorare you using plugins with these names?
Are you using any CSS or JS optimization plugins?

ParticipantHi Scrambler,
No I am not using – nor have ever used – any plugins with these names, or even anything like these names. These names are completely new to me.
I use
Fast Velocity Minify
for CSS and JS (excluding all Xtreme CSS and JS) and have also written to them asking if they use it.As this is totally new to me, I’m still touching bases at the moment with all those whom I know use compression on my site to see whose it is.
Regards and thanks,

ModeratorFrom googling what Zlib and GZhandler are, they seem related to handling compressed files with PHP.
So I would try disabling ALL non weaver plugin and see if the messages go away. If they do reactivate one by one to find the culprit.
And read threads like below
Zlib Output Compression Enabled | WordPress.org
GZhandler output buffer compression DISABLED – Google Search

ParticipantThanks Scrambler!
I also found much the same information and that my server php.ini has
zlib.output_compression = Off
already.I’ll take your advice and see how I got on.
I didn’t think it was Xtreme, but needed to check anyway 🙂
Regards and thanks,
