Xtreme Keeps Reverting to Default Settings

This is a brand new site for a client which I just installed: http://www.jerific.com/

Xtreme Plus is installed and activated (and licensed.) The only other plugins installed are the ones automatically recommended by Weaver Theme upon installation.

When I select a subtheme and save, everything seems okay. However, when I then change ANY other theme setting, the theme reverts back to the default settings.

I have read through this thread: http://forum-archive.weavertheme.com/discussion/4297/can-change-weaver-ii-subtheme-but-not-any-settings and I contacted HostPapa. They told me the PHP memory is 1000 so the fix in that thread won’t work. Should I ask them to make it higher?

HostPapa has escalated my ticket but I thought I’d ask if there is anything else I should try to fix this (since the above mentioned thread is old.) I’m sure this is a HostPapa issue since I used Xtreme on another client site with a different host just a week ago and had zero problems.

(Meanwhile, I’ll see if my client wants to change her hosting company, since this is the first time I’ve ever had an issue with any Weaver theme and I’ve used them on a lot of sites 🙂 )

The biggest issue reported with hostpapa is at the end of the thread regarding some of the variable settings

[Solved Solution] Update: HostPapa.ca doesn’t allow you direct access to these settings but the Host Papa support team was happy to make the changes in the settings to accommodate my client.

IMPORTANT: For anyone reading this in the future, resolving the issue actually required changing two settings:

suhosin.post.max_vars = 600
suhosin.request.max_vars = 600

I’m not sure if both settings are required however just changing the first one alone was not enough but both certainly works.

The hosting company told me the suhosin settings are both at 1000.

I’ve checked the additional link you provided and verified the following:

It isn’t a caching issue.

A style sheet exists in the uploads directory.

I am able to add images to the media library and display them.

File permissions are correct.

Checking “Use Inline CSS” had no effect on this issue.

In you first mail you mentioned the php memory was at 1000, did you actually mean the suhosin variable was set t0 1000?

If so, then what is you actual amount of PHP memory?

I believe this is set with the memory limit in your php.ini file.

Mine shows

memory_limit = 128M

My apologies, yes I meant the suhosin variables. I’ll have to check with the hosting for the memory limit since it looks like I don’t have access to the php.ini file. (I can’t find it in file manager.) If it isn’t 128 I’ll request an increase.

Success! It turns out the first support person I chatted with (for over an hour) gave me incorrect information. I found out today the suhosin settings were, in fact, both at 400. They have now changed them to 1000. They also raised PHP memory to 128. I’ve tested and the theme is now saving settings properly so I can proceed with the site build.
