WordPress 4.6 admin font change

Just updated. Really don’t like the changes made to the Admin side. Anyone else having same reaction? Any suggestions for Open Sans font which I think was used before?

There is a difference? I can’t tell or notice myself. Mine still has a very vanilla sans font of some kind.

The only thing I noticed was that the titles of the Admin pages seem bolder.

What was less fun was the fact that my site was completely broken, like if I had changed theme. I had to switch to a different theme and then back to Xtreme to get things back.

That is a bit troubling as I’ve so far experienced no issues upgrading any of my sites.

hmmm…. it’s definitely changed for me.  Are you sure you have v4.6 now? I was viewing using FF with Windows.

All of the “system fonts” should be fairly generic sans fonts, so it isn’t overly surprising I can’t detect much difference. I’d have to have them side by side to really see, I think.

And the theory behind the new WP admin fonts is interesting, and I might add a “System Default Sans” font stack as a choice for the actual site font.
