I just updated to Weaver Xtreme Version: 3.1.3, then I tried to change my header image.  Although it uploaded the new image, saved and published it, and shows the header I selected as the “Current header” – it is not displaying it, it still shows the old image. And Yes, I cleared my cache and opened the page on another computer that did not have it in its cache.  It just won’t show the new image.

Also, for a while, when I clicked on “Please set the Options Interface Level”  it was scrambled with red writing on top of black text.  I closed it out and reopened it, and it seems OK now.

Without a link to the site and the URL of the image you say you loaded as the latest header image, there is not much we can do.

If when you go back to Appearance > Header, you see the proper image selected, then it does sound like a cache issue.

If the header image you selected is no longer the one showing as active, then you may have a problem saving settings, in which case you need to read both articles below that can explain why, what to do about it.

    Settings Won’t Save from Customizer

    Host Configuration: PHP max_input_vars

    The site is: livingquantum.com

Here is the link to the header image: livingquantum.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/violetclouds-header-cover.jpg

In Appearance > Header, I do see the proper image selected.

It is NOT a caching issue, as I have now tried it on many computers, several of which have never been to this site, and only the old header is showing.  It looks to me like something is malfunctioning in the theme. How can I fix it.  And if I can’t, is there another way to get the header to show besides Appearance > Header or as a featured image?

It is only your home page which is not showing the proper header image, the other pages do show the proper header image

So the first thing to do, is to go in the Home page editing page, and see if you have selected a featured image for that page, and set the featured image to replace the header image.

If you are sure there is no featured image selected for that page, think about what you did different there, and if you cant find out delete that page and recreate it from scratch

The header on the home page is:
    http://livingquantum.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/violetclouds.jpg

It is originating from a Featured Image, and not the site header image. I can tell by looking at the HTML output – it has a class on the header that indicates it was an FI.

OK, thanks.  I should have checked that first before I panicked.  I now remember I set it as a featured image because at first the header wouldn’t show up at all, but that fixed itself in an update. Then I forgot about it.
