Wever Xtreme Plus 7.0

Weaver Xtreme Plus 7.0 Has been released.

The plugin has significant revisions to comply with the latest WordPress security standards, as well as compatibility updates for PHP Version 8.x releases.

While there were no known security issues before, this version now clears WP plugin security checks.

There will be other features available with the next release of Weaver Xtreme Theme.

New versions of the Weaver Xtreme Theme Support plugin as well as Weaver Xtreme will be released within a week or two.

We will likely wait for the official release of WP 7.0, which should be coming up pretty soon.

That is interesting. Weaver Xtreme is not classified as accessible ready, but is a worthy goal. I don’t think that at the moment, WP will be making that mandatory, at least for legacy themes.

Getting Weaver to be accessible will be exceptionally challenging. I think the main issue is colors and fonts. Right now, Weave Options allow users to pick virtually any color combinations they select. Those selections are quite possible to not meed accessibility standards. How does a theme with complete settings freedom prevent that? I don’t know – that could be quite difficult.

…. and it is illegal, as it fails the Accessibility Tests.
