Thanks Weaver, makes more sense.
One thing, how does the content from the page designer populate widgets and not just the content area?August 10, 2017 at 16:03 UTC - Views: 31 #50747
I think you may have it reversed. Widget can be used to populate the content of the page builder (they have that feature like what you find in Appearance > Widgets with the widget areas).
I am not aware that you would use page builder to create the content of a widget. If they offer that possibility, they would have an interface for it that you need to explore.August 10, 2017 at 16:25 UTC - Views: 33 #50751
Ok, yes getting confused.
So basically, use the page builder for widgets and forget about Appearance > Widgets with the widget areas etc?
Or use WordPress/Weaver widgets AND page builder widgets?
I was thinking that the page builder would let you populate the Weaver/Wordpress widget areas with text or images etc?
Thanks for helpingAugust 10, 2017 at 22:16 UTC - Views: 39 #50756
“So basically, use the page builder for widgets and forget about Appearance > Widgets with the widget areas etc?”
Page builders are made to help you create complicated layout for page content if you are not too good with HTML.
Once you create the layout using the page builder, you put actual content in these layout blocks, either manually (images Text …), or using Widgets.
Widgets are preformatted content blocks. They were originally created as a standard WordPress tool to add content to Widget Areas, in Appearance > Widgets.
A widget area is just a piece of layout the theme provides to create your site basic layout, like Sidebars, header widget area, footer widget area etc. Widgets are a way to populate these areas with content.
The theme creates the first level of layout, header, content, footer… The page builder gives you a tool to create a layout inside the content portion of the theme layout.
Widgets can be used as preformatted content blocks to populates both of theseAugust 10, 2017 at 22:35 UTC - Views: 17 #50757
