WeaverX and Facebook Pictures Not Appearing – Parsing input error?

For about a month now, Facebook is not picking up an image when i post the blog link i.e. blog post from http://www.loveknysna.com to http://www.facebook.com/loveknysna.

I did a check with https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/ and it gave me: “Error parsing input URL, no data was cached, or no data was scraped.”

Could that be the error? If so, i don’t understand what to do as i’m not a developer. Could someone help?

If you are using a plugin that posts to Facebook, check the settings. There may be options to post title, excerpt or full blog post to Facebook.

Hi, Maureen. That has often been problematic so i don’t rely on it. Instead, i directly post the link into FB. That hasn’t worked for about a month, possibly since the last WordPress update. As it works for some of my client sites, i wondered if it was Weaver.

Weaver does not generate any code that interacts with FB. If there is an issue, it is somewhere else.

A plugin that creates Open Graph tags would be the easiest solution. But there are few that does this just as one of other options, e.g. Seo by Yoast, but there is also Seo Facebook Comments. It must be enabled just one time.
