WeaverX 1.2.4 and 1.3 not compatible with MailChimp pop-up code

Since the 1.2.4 update, mobile browsers (especially Chrome) haven’t been able to click on links on my website.

I thought this was a plug-in conflict, but I went so far as to deactivate all plugins, and the result was the same.

I finally determined it is the MailChimp pop-up code that is causing the problem.

However, WeaverII works just fine with it.  I’m “downgrading” to WeaverII until this conflict can be resolved.

Unless you give us a link to the Xtreme site with a specifics on which links to look at, there is nothing we could do.

So if you want to go back to weaver II for now, you need to create a test site in a subfolder of your main directory, and clone your site there, so you can have xtreme activated showing the issue.

The ONLY changes to the JavaScript (which would be about the only possible problem with outside scripts like a MailChimp popup) after Weaver Xtreme 1.1 had to do with the Smart Menus, a feature available only with Weaver Xtreme plus.

If you are using SmartMenus, disable them to see if that make any difference

Since MailChimp is a paid product, we have no way to debug how it works or not with Weaver.

Disregard.

Discovered this is actually a conflict between Mailchimp pop-up (jScript code) and Google Translate (jScript code).  When I restored the WeaverII theme, I didn’t realize it loaded only the widgets that were visible the last time I used it.  Since Translate wasn’t in the sidebar at that time, there was no conflict with Mailchimp.  I’m going back to them for support.
