Weaver Xtreme Version 5 is not too far from release. One of its main features is a totally new interface to the Customizer based on the legacy “Where” organization. One can easily select between the current “What” Customizer organization, or the legacy based “Where” organization.
Because of improvements in Customizer speed, only the Main Options Legacy interface will be supported (this is the old fashioned checkbox interface going way back), while the other legacy sections are now supported only in the Customizer. For Legacy Option fans, most of the day to day design options are found on the Main Options Legacy tab, so there is not much loss.
Sorry – that last statement is not true. In fact, the entire Legacy checkbox style option interface will be removed from Weaver Xtreme Version 5 for various technical and practical reasons – including recent improvements in the overall speed of the Customizer interface. We will publish a more detailed note to the reasons this decision has been made, but trying to support both interfaces has made it too difficult to add new features to Weaver Xtreme Version 5 in a safe and reasonable manner.
Weaver Theme has been in development for over 10 years, and has and will continue to support new versions of WordPress.
