Weaver Xtreme Plus activation

I purchased a license for Weaver Xtreme Plus and received the license key by email.

The activation process for the plugin repeatedly fails with the message: WARNING: An error occurred, please try again.

My site uses Cloudflare to manage traffic, so I wonder if the Weaver activation server is blocking my activation request due to Cloudflare. Is there a way to activate the plugin manually?

I wrote an email to [email protected] explaining the problem, but I got no response.

I’m sorry I missed your e-mail. I still haven’t seen it because my computer died, and I’m having some issues with retrieving my e-mails.

As far as I know, the license server is still working. It already goes through cloudflare, so I think that is unlikely to be an issue. I will try to look into this tomorrow.

I wrote a script to test the connection with the Weaver server. The connection works, but the Weaver license server returned a 202 status with a captcha redirect. This is possibly due to Cloudflare or a similar security/WAF layer on the Weaver server triggering a bot check. The plugin on my system sees a non-200 response and gives the generic error. The Weaver server seems to be challenging automated requests. It may be necessary to whitelist the IP address I supplied in my email and/or modify the security layer on the Weaver activation server.

I don’t know if it is the issue, but I just received a notice from reCaptcha that it needed some Google registration. I think I’ve fixed that, but their sign up / settings process is very cryptic. I think the captcha is supposed to be invisible. Will wait to see what happens – just got the notice today.

I tried to activate the license key provided, but the process still fails. The use of Captcha on the activation server could be problematic, since the activation process is between the server and my website. There is no human to respond to a Captcha.
