Is this correct? Obviously it doesn’t show in a theme search, but wanted to make sure there wasn’t some other way to get it on a hosted wp.COM site?

Though I am not trying to add a new theme. Just want to use weaver on the .com site.Weaver (and most other WordPress.org themes) are not available for WP.com. The .org and .com branches are managed quite differently, and most .org themes and plugins simply are not available on the .com side.
Bummer. Thank you for getting back to me. I can’t find another theme I like more than weaver. I keep trying, but nope 🙂
The next best alternative is to find a reliable host that makes it easy to use the WordPress.org version.
I guess the main benefit of using a WP.com site is that no host management is ever needed – just the site itself.
But if you need / want all the benefits of the many WP.org themes and plugins, you have to take that step to self-hosting.
