    FYI, the update to 5.0 caused the site to look like this (menu bar wrong color, left justified, sidebar top margin missing), so I reverted to 4.4.9, which looked this (all submenu items, wrong header). 🙁 So I reverted to 4.4.8 and the appearance is back to normal. 🙂

    Without seeing the site under v5 there is unfortunately nothing we can do.

    One thing I would suggest is to try and switch to V5 again, go to Xtreme Admin > Main options and Save settings, then clear ALL caches (plugin, cloudflare, browser….), and check the site on different browser.

    If that does not fix it we need to see the site under V5, so if you cannot keep it like that public for a while, you would need to setup a cloned test site in a sub folder.

    OK–I updated the site from 4.4.8 to 5.0, saved, cleared caches, then reviewed on the latest versions of Firefox, Edge, and Chrome. As you can see from the three screenshots, the result was the same on all three–menu bar wrong color, left justified, sidebar top margin missing.

    I reverted the production site to 4.4.8 to bring things back to normal, but I will clone it to a test site and 5.0 if that will help.

    Does anyone know a way to revert a live site back to 4.4.8?

    Scrambler, I’ve cloned https://sirinc.org (4.4.8) to https://sirinc.org/test and updated it to 5.0 for your review. Let me know if I can help further.

    Moderator comment: Because WP now lets you upload and overwrite themes easily, upload V4.4.8 found as Weaver Xtreme 4.4.8 Final version at https://weavertheme.com/archive-downloads/. Installing Weaver Xtreme V5 never touches any of your previous V4 settings, so you can revert at any time, and trying V5 again later will re-perform its conversions.

    Update: looks as if both of those sites are using 5.0

    Sorry for the confusion, Weaver. https://sirinc.org updated itself to 5.0 overnight, so I just updated it again from weaver-xtreme-4-4-8-restore.zip. Now it should look different from https://sirinc.org/test (which is on 5.0).

    FYI, when I activated 4.4.9, it looked like this.

    That is a lot of difference. I’ll try to figure out what might have happened.

    As for 4.4.9 – I’m pretty sure the issue you’re seeing is the problem with losing the menu assignments. After switching to 4.4.9, you can open the Menu menu and re-assign your menu to primary or secondary. That got lost in the theme name switch – a WP feature that has been the bane of website users for years now. It is a “feature” called theme_mod that keeps some settings in a separate database entry, including menu assignments.

    @alanwbaker do you have the Xtreme Theme Support Plugin installed on the V5 site, as it seems that may be necessary for things to work properly?

    Also, do you use a child theme by any chance as someone found out that a number of things needed to be updated in the child theme after V5 depending on what your child theme does.

    Scrambler, I did not have the support plugin installed.  So I installed and activated it at https://sirinc.org/test (v5). Then I tested it on three browsers and found no improvement.

    I do not have a child theme because such customizations usually lead to problems like you cited.

    If access to the dashboard would help, I can give you that.

    I see lots or errors in the browser console of the v5 site, including failed to load weaver resources which is probaly the reason for the messed up site.

    Not sure what is the cause though.

    The forum is not letting me post the errors for some reason, will try in a separate post
