Weaver II to Weaver Xtreme problem

I would like convert Weaver II to Weaver Xtreme! Weaver converter: Upload and convert Weaver II theme settings from .w2t or .w2b file saved on your computer.

Since you are converting an existing Weaver II settings file, you don’t have to be running on a live site, nor will the settings conversion disrupt your current site.

I am upload a saved w2b file, but this error message comes:

Uploaded .w2t or .w2b file wrong format.

Have I downloaded a lot of ways, but I do not understand why I have analyzed is a mistake!

First, have you read the conversion tutorial below ?

Then to save your Weaver II settings, you go to Save / restore page and click on Download ALL settings (w2b) file. This will download a fle on your computer that has the file extension .w2b

This is the setting file you will use in the conversion process

I know the usage of the converter by heart, I’ve already done it on an other site. Didn’t you watch the attached file?

Assuming you are uploading the w2b file and not the zip, I don’t know what could cause it to be seen as wrong format, unless it got corrupted at save time.

If you also have tried to re download the file and still get this error, @weaver will have to look into it.

Of course, with converter i want the original w2b file upload, not compressed!

And many times I tried!..(

Very strange I would never have thought a plugin could cause weaver to not read an option file.

I looked at the corrupted file included in the original .w2b settings link, and it seems apparent that the plugin is filtering http:// content sent from a site to the browser – INCLUDING non-HTML files. This meant that crazy stuff was being added to the .w2b file.

And in fact, it turned out that the CloudFlare support plugin had a similar bug. (FYI – CloudFlare was changing ALL href=”https:/…/” and href=”http://…” references in a site’s html to simply href=”//…”. This would also corrupt saved setting files which were being filtered. The fix was to check the http protocol an filter only html output, not binary output. I “won” a free t-shirt from CloudFlare for finding this bug.)

Note that WP CSS3 Button Creator is very old, and has not been maintained in over 3 years, so it is unlikely they will fix the bug, which is extremely serious and likely to break many other things a well.
