WAMP – weaver plugins won’t update now !

Weaver plugins no longer update when I run weaver in WAMP on my hard-drive.  Has anyone found a work-around for this?  The error message that I get is  “no http transports which can complete the request”.  For years now, I run a WAMP test site on my harddrive to play with Weaver features and plugins offline. The update plugins feature has stopped working in the last few weeks.  Actually, this is a problem with all plugins.  My dear, cherished, tech savvy forum contributors – can you solve this?  I was planning to buy Weaver Extreme Plus to start testing and playing with it.  Not sure how to handle this new twist in WordPress.  Many thanks

Just found the solution!  In WAMP go to PHP Extensions and check php_curl to enable php_curl.  This solution I found after probably fifteen different web searches.

Thanks for the report back.

 I use the MAMP development environment on my Mac, and don’t have any issues.

Note that it is unlikely it is only Weaver plugins not updating, but all updates, including themes.
