Using Event Calendar – change content background color in page.

I am using the event calendar on page and want the content area to be white. Tried .page-id-556 #content {background-color:white;} but did not work or I am putting this in the wrong place.  Site is http://www.soulimpressionband.com and it the events page.  How can I change this?

This is because there is no #content container on that page nor is that page with the id 556

The container has a class .tribe-events-view so try the modified rule below

.tribe-events-view{background-color:white;} 

if it affects other pages try

.post-type-archive-tribe_events .tribe-events-view{background-color:white;}
