How well does Elementor work with Weaver? I’m thinking about installing it to make it easier to build pages. Thanks!December 12, 2019 at 06:16 UTC - Views: 57 #62185WeaverKeymaster
Elementor works fine with Weaver Xtreme.
In fact, Weaver Xtreme add a really great feature for Elementor. You can specify any Elementor page/post to be a replacement for the normal header or footer. When the header is used to display an Elementor page, the standard Weaver menus will be avaiable by default, or can be hidden for a totally Elementor controlled header.December 13, 2019 at 01:34 UTC - Views: 44 #62191
Thank you! I actually haven’t used Elementor before but I’m glad to hear it works good with the Weaver theme.February 21, 2020 at 07:50 UTC - Views: 25 #63193CelannaParticipant
I inherited a Weaver site that looks terribly outdated (think 1990’s Geocities) and I’m trying to redo it as my client doesn’t want to switch themes. Her previous designer didn’t use any sort of child theme and apparently did everything within the theme itself using the Customizer. I am finding bits and pieces of customization all over the customizer and it’s been Hell trying to go through every little option in Weaver to find where the previous designer made adjustments. I normally use Elementor Pro and would love to use it on this site, but how do i apply Elementor specifications to existing pages that are using customization set in Weaver’s customization settings? Thus far my Elementor template blocks for the header and footer in particular appear on new pages, but the existing pages have the previous customization. How do I set up Elementor to override the customizations in Weaver’s existing pages?February 21, 2020 at 17:14 UTC - Views: 15 #63198February 22, 2020 at 01:56 UTC - Views: 17 #63205WeaverKeymaster
A careful and probably tedious manual process would be required. I would probably recommend switching themes.
Weaver was used exactly as designed – setting options to match the design. But one would have to look at each option and understand how it applied to the site.
As far as I know, Elementor pages in general will use whatever theme’s styling is set for headings, fonts, some spacing, etc. So applying Elementor specifications to pages is a statement that doesn’t really make any sense to me at all.
I might suggest using the base Elementor theme – I don’t remember what it is called.February 22, 2020 at 02:11 UTC - Views: 10 #63206
The base Elementor theme is called the Hello theme. Elementor does its testing using this theme. It’s very barebones.
