upgrading from Weaver Version: 2.2.9

I was recently asked to help with a site https://palomaraudubon.org/

it’s Running on php 7.22 and needs lots of updates.

Can I install Weaver Xtreme, customize and publish before I upgrade php (and all the plugins). That is will it work with php 7.22?

Or should I install Weaver Xtreme, not customize or publish and then upgrade php and then customize and publish the theme?

Or is there some way I can customize and save but not publish and then upgrade?

Or customize and publish and quickly swap back to the current Weaver V 2.2.9 and then upgrade php?

I’m looking to minimize downtime and a look that is totally different.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Weaver Xtreme works on PHP 7.2 or higher. No issues with PHP 8, and still 7.2 compatible. This is by choice/design. Same for associated plugins.
