ParticipantHi Weaver,
Just to let you know. When I’ve updated from Weaver Xtreme 5.0.7 to Weaver Xtreme 6.2.1.3 it broke the site and rendered 403 Forbidden page: “Forbidden You do not have permission to access this document.” I had to revert back to version 5.0.7
My settings:
Weaver Xtreme Plus – Version 6.2
Weaver Xtreme Theme Support – Version 6.2.9
WordPress 6.2
PHP version 8.1.18, but I’ve tried it also with: 8.028 and 7.4.33Not sure if I’m the only one with that issue. Thank you in advance for any advice.

KeymasterA 403 Err0r is not something that is usually caused by a theme.
I don’t understand why 5.0.7 works, while the latest 6.2.1.3 fails. This is nothing that I’ve ever heard of with the theme before.
But it would be way more helpful if you could provide some more information:
1 When does this happen? Always? When in admin? When in Customizer or Legacy theme diting? When accessing some specific page?
One thing that might help to narrow this down would be to use your hosts admin interface to open wp-config.php in your site’s root and change WP_DEBUG from false to true. This should then post an error message that includes a file name and line number where the error occurred.
If you get an error message that includes a specific Weaver Xtreme filename and line number, let us know and we can check it out better.
This link might have some useful information as well.

ParticipantHi Weaver,
Thank you so very much for your fast reply and advice.
Sorry I haven’t reply for few days, I had to check those updates etc. on all our websites running Weaver Xtreme.
Looks like there is a conflict between Weaver Xtreme 6.2.1.3 and 6.2.1.4 (since I’ve now updated WX to 6.2.1.4 on that particular website) and plugin called WPFront Scroll Top (by By Syam Mohan). So when that plugin is activated any attempt to update theme renders 403 Forbidden page. So for now I’ve disabled the plugin. The crazy thing is, we are running the same plugin on other websites with Weaver Xtreme 6.2.1.3 and 6.2.1.4 and all is good there.
The other thing, I’ve noticed on some of our websites with Weaver Xtreme, after the updates to 6.2.1.3 and 6.2.1.4, the Theme File Editor is missing under Appearance. There is an new entry showing in wp-config.php: “define(‘DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT’, true);“. So once the text line “true” is changed to “false” the Theme File Editor comes back under Appearance. Is it possible that in some instances the Weaver Xtreme update may cause that?
By the way, there is also another new entry “define( ‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false );” showing up in wp-config.php on those websites, but I’m not sure if that info may be useful anyhow. And last thing, on one of our websites the links placed in the Menu Bar Left and Right HTML are not working. In the Left HTML the link is “attached” to the image and in the Right HTML shortcode points to Social Buttons (Xtreme Plus). Both the image and the icones of social buttons are visible in the menu, but the links don’t work. They worked before. I’m running the same setup, same html, same shortcode on other websites and all are working fine. Just that one website. Any idea what should I look for? Could it be somehow related to those latest updates? That site is running now Weaver Xtreme 6.2.1.4, plus WP and all plugins are up to date. I’ve disabled all plugins, no change, I’ve tried to use WP_DEBUG feature in wp-config.php, but it does not render any error messages.
Thank you in advance for any advice.

KeymasterWeaver and its plugins do not touch wp-config.php. There are a few specialized plugins that can edit it, but mostly that is a manual operation performed from the host site’s editing tools.
The menu issue might be the same as this post:
There haven’t been issues before, so I’m not really sure why that may have changed. I will do some testing.

ParticipantHi Weaver,
Thanks for your help.
Unfortunately suggested solution from the Search form not working? post: .wvrx-menu-html, .wvrx-menu-login (z-index-10000;), or somewhat modify versions: .menu-primary .wvrx-menu-html (z-index-10000;) or .wvrx-menu-html (z-index-10000;) did not work for my Menu Bar Left and Right HTML issue. If this may somehow help, the website URL is: https://avpc.ca/
I’ll double check with our server team the issue regarding rewriting wp-config.php. Thank you for excluding any theme etc, involvement.
Thanks again for all your help.
