ParticipantHello
For some reason, the theme reset itself today to a previous state. I have managed to get everything looking right again. However, when I went to update a post, I was unable to see the the text and images in the visual screen despite seeing the html in the text screen. I have no idea what has happened. If I produce a new post, I can type in the visual screen, but when I save, the text disappears, but the html is present?Hope you can help.

Moderatorlooks like you may have some installation issues may be memory related.
Read the FAQ on this site below
http://weavertheme.com/weaver-ii-doesnt-save-settings/
Until you find out, make sure that every time you change something, you go to the Save / Restore page, click SAVE settings to save a copy of the settings in the database (that can be restored with restore), also download ALL settings so you keep a local copy. If you have “Plus” you should also go in the +Xtreme Plus > Save Restore page and download ALL settings from there.
Also try deactivating ALL non weaver plugins, in case something may be interfering.

ParticipantThank you for your response. My interenet has gone down at home so will look at next week. I will follow your advice especially backups and saving. This I had not done and now regret.
If following your advice above does not work, is this something you can help resolve? Should I install another theme to see if it overcomes the problem (i.e. Weaver ii)? If I do this and reinstall Xtreme, will the restore bring everything back?
You have been a huge help in the past and hope between us this can be resolved.
I was looking to contact the host account holder (Bluehost). Should I do do this and if so, should I present the issue to them as presented to you?

KeymasterNormally, Bluehost accounts will not have memory issues, so it is likely an issue elsewhere. It is likely a conflicting plugin, so try to disable your other plugins one at a time and see if the Visual editor starts to work again.

ParticipantHello
I have gone through the checks you have advised and there is no change. I then submitted a support ticket to Bluehost and they advised there appears to be issues with the WordPress core files.I have gone back to Mojo where I installed WordPress to see if they are willing to help. I’m still waiting for a response. With your knowledge, is there a way to completely reinstall WordPress but keep the theme, posts and pages and plugin settings etc?GaryJune 27, 2015 at 09:18 UTC - Views: 4 #23018Gillian
ParticipantYou just need to go into your WordPress Dashboard. When you pause your mouse on the Dashboard menu option you’ll see an option called “Updates”on the sub-menu. Click on that and you’ll see an option to Re-install WordPress, then click on the Re-install Now button. This will replace your WordPress core files.
You should, as a good habit, backup your theme settings first. Re-installing WordPress will not affect your posts, pages or plugins.June 27, 2015 at 21:36 UTC #23019goakes
