ParticipantHello. I’m trying to hide the site title, but cannot get the function to work since I upgraded to the Weaver Xtreme 3.1.2 this week. It was working fine before the upgrade.
I’ve selected the “hide on all devices” dropdown option in the Main Options-Header menu, but it’s still showing up. I’ve also tried disabling the Customizer, but neither of these solutions work and the site title is still showing up on all browsers and devices.
Any ideas? Thanks.

ModeratorIt is working fine on my test site, so we need a link to the site to see what may be going on.
Make sure Main Options > Header > Site Title / Tagline > Hide site Title is set properly and saved
make sure you clear all your caches (browser, Plugin, service,…)February 13, 2017 at 02:35 UTC - Views: 6 #33210danbailey
ParticipantHere’s the link for my site:

And I just I rechecked- the options are set to Hide on All Devices, but the title is still showing up in the header.

ModeratorI dont see any tagline.
The text “Dan Bailey Adventure photography blog” is actually your header image.
If are you are speaking of something else, please elaborateFebruary 13, 2017 at 05:27 UTC - Views: 9 #33212Weaver
KeymasterI think the problem is in the code added by the Head-and-Footer-Scripts-Inserter.
If you run your site through a validator (https://validator.w3.com), it fails in the <head> section, which includes that code.
That code is inserting a <div> inside the <head> section, which is illegal. Otherwise, I can’t tell what is causing the validation failure.
That is tracking code, and more properly belong in the post-footer HTML insertion area in Weaver Options. You don’t need that plugin with Weaver, and since that code has a <div>, is must not be placed in the <head> area.

KeymasterAdditional note: The text widget you’ve defined for the header widget area is illegal. You’ve made up your own HTML tag: <left> and </left>. No such thing.
The title should not be displaying – it has a hide class on it, but because of some HTML error (I think), it is not being recognized. If fixing these two problems doesn’t fix it, you’re going to have to disable your plugins one at a time until the title starts to hide.

KeymasterOne more problem. Somehow, and I don’t know for sure how, you’ve defined an empty header image. If you look at the html code, there is an <img> defined where the header goes, but it has src=””, which is not a url. That may be messing the hide on the title as well.
Actually, I think that is the problem. Since there is no defined header image src, the browser is instead displaying the alt text for the <img>.
I really don’t know where that empty value for the src is coming from. I can’t find a way to duplicate it.

ModeratorBasically your header image HTML is below
<img width=”1000″ height=”188″ class=”wvrx-header-image” alt=”Dan Bailey’s Adventure Photography Blog” src=””>
This means there is no image (src=”” as weaver said), but the Alt text is showing at the top left corner.
However you created that header image, remove it.
But both your site title and site title are hidden

ParticipantI disabled the Header and Footer Scripts plugin and I removed the <left> tags from the header widget. However, I cannot find the offending <img> tag and src=”” in the header which you mentioned. Where exactly is that in the code, and is it something I can access via the Weaver Admin panel?

ModeratorFirst go to Appearance > Header which takes you to the header image customizer, and see if there is any image added there?
If not, go to Main options > Header > Header Image, and check if you have anything in the Image HTML replacement box.

ParticipantOk, I think I’ve got it sorted out. I found the Header image problem and fixed it, and now everything seems to be working fine. Thanks for all of your assistance and expertise.

Keymaster@danbailey – I’d really like to know how you fixed the header image problem – specifically, how did you end up with and empty image URL for the src of the header <img>. I tried to reproduce that, and could not find a way to get an empty header address.

ParticipantI had left the header image option empty in the customizer, and had instead placed code for my logo image in the Header widget area. That’s where you saw the <left> tags. So, I removed that and just reloaded my logo as a header image in the customizer.

KeymasterNormally leaving the Header Image setting empty in the Customizer does not generate the issue you had, so there must have been some other WordPress or Weaver Customizer interface bug that allowed that. I’m just trying to figure out how to prevent that issue in the future.
