Recently, unexpected messages like below have appeared in my pages using Weaver Show Posts & Show Slider Plugin.

// translators: shows the title

I don’t know why and I’d like to erase these messages.

If somebody knows about this problem, tell me how, please.

I’ll add some details of my site.

I have multi-language posts using the Bogo plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/bogo/).

And I have a page that lists post titles of a certain category using the code below.

[show_posts category_name=unit-2 order=ASC orderby=title show=titlelist use_paging=true]

At least until two weeks ago, my page worked fine, but today I found my page shows this message below on every listed title, though I have not changed the page at all.

I need your help and appreciate any information about this problem.

I have just discovered the same problem today on my website – singbentleyheath.org.uk/raffle when I went to update the prize donor list.  I have a filter for each of the three locations which picks up on a tag in the prize donors posts.  I seem to remember my security system flagging a vulnerability in the plugin this week so I presume the update has caused this problem.

As we expect this page to get a lot of hits over the next few weeks, it would be good to get a fix for the issue.  If you need any more diagnostic info then please ask.

Yes, use the “WP Rollback” plugin.

I went to the WordPress plugin page and switched to Advanced View, scrolled to the bottom and downloaded 1.8.1 and then replaced 2.0

Hopefully @weaver will have a fix soon.

This is not a multi language site, so not sure where it is coming from

That translators issue is fixed, is gone in 2.0.3. The whole plugin was a very significant re-write to comply with WP’s more stringent plugin security checks. That particular stray string was a botched fix of a requirement that requires putting in special comments for language translators information about the content of messages.

I think 2.0.3 will be more stable than the 2.0 release which I tried to get out and get the plugin back in the repository.

An other issue is still not solved. I will create a new thread for that.

On my site the problem is now infinitely worst, and the display of the show post list is now utterly broken (right side bar titled “looking for a book to read”, displaying html instead of the list of posts.

I have updated my plugins to 2.0.3 and my site is working fine again now!!

Show Posts 2.0.3 should work fine, except the save settings to a file does not work. That was due to an issue with the WP Upload method. It is fixed, but right now the WP plugin upload update site is not working. But apparently hardly any one uses that option since it has actually been broken for some time. But it will work in 2.0.4
