Starting a blog page

I have operated a static website with no comment pages for many years using Weaver Extreme. I wanted to add a simple blog page where I can occasionally make a post and have people comment on it.  Not sure how to do that. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Creating a blog page is simple.

Create a New page

In the page editing page, on the right in “Page Attributes” under  “Template”, select  “page with posts”

Make sure the site is not configured to use the default WordPress blog page by going to Settings > reading

There, make sure “Your Home page displays” is set to a static page, and that nothing is selected in”Posts page”, showing –select–

Then create some posts, and they will show up on your blog page.

Same as new pages

Posts > New Posts.
