Ive noticed my site seems quite slow to load, google page speed was giving me a score of around 45/100 so i deactivated all plugins which took the speed up to a more respectable 88/100 I’ve switched the plugins on and off to find out which ones are having the most dramatic effect and it seems to go down when i switch on weaver plus and the weaver plugins, i know that they do a lot of stuff, but i guess I’m looking for a way to reduce the load time, is there a way to streamline them at all, maybe to switch off functions that i don’t need?thanksThey’ve already been pretty optimized, and don’t load and use things you don’t use for almost all cases.
The theme support plugin adds all the shortcodes, but they are not fully loaded until they are actually used. And these would only slow down the host a tiny bit, and have almost no measurable effect on load time. Same for Xtreme Plus shortcodes.
The only significant script loaded by Xtreme Plus is the smart menus, and only then if you check the use smart menus option. In my tests, they actually seem to load faster than the default menus.
I will try some of my own test to see if I can detect any specifics for Weaver’s plugins.
cool, i think ill have a word with my isp, another site i maintain using extreme and a similar setup gets a higher score, maybe they can put me on a faster server
