I’m using Xtreme 1.3 (not plus). Is there a way in the theme options themselves to display (and change appearance of) my secondary menu which is assigned to the sidebar widget?

I am currently using Jetpack Custom Menu widget and the menu displays just fine, exactly where I want it, but there are no options that I can see to change line spacing or font size.
I have 2 other blogs using Weaver II Pro and I can use the theme itself to style my sidebar menus but I don’t see the equivalent in Xtreme basic. Perhaps I am just looking in the wrong place?

In weaver II pro, you were probably using the Pro sidebar menu widget, and so of course that was styled by the theme.

But If you are using a plugin menu widget, there is no way weaver options could do anything to it.

Of course you can always inspect the page with your browser developer tools to see how the menu is styled, and add your own rules to override the plugin style in Main options > Fonts & Custom > Custom CSS rule box.

But I would start by asking the plugin developer if there are any way to style it and if not why, and if not what are the rules you can use to override the current style.

So the easiest is of course to get plus.

Next thing is seek help from the plugin developer.

If you get nowhere with them post back with a link and what you need to change, but please go through them first, as it is really not our position to help you style a plugin πŸ™‚

Thanks. Understood, and no I wasn’t really expecting help to style the plugin per se. In fact, I would just as soon NOT use the plugin if the Xtreme basic had tools/options to allow me to do this the way the II pro did.

Well, the equivalent of Pro to weaver II is the “plus” plugin to Xtreme:)
As I said if you cant get plus and cant get help with the plugin author, post back with a link and specifics πŸ™‚

    Update:

I am embarrassed that for some reason I thought the widget was  a Jetpack custom menu, but turns out it isn’t – it is just the plain vanilla built in WordPress ‘custom menu’ widget.
Once I realized this I was able to determine that the element I wanted to customize was .widget_nav_menu. From there I was able to determine some commands to change the line heifghts and font sizes etc.
So all is good now. Thanks for the replies πŸ™‚
