ShowHide Issue with WP Google Map Not Showing Full Map on Show

It only shows a portion of the map on Show. However, if you click on Inspect Element the full map appears, albeit not centered like it should be here: http://encounternewfoundland.com/map-insert/

Any suggestions?

There already was a discussion this a while back.

It appears embedded Google maps needs to know the size of the area at load time. Because it is loaded with the area having no size, you cant get the whole map when you open it. When you inspect the elements you sort of force a refresh while the are is opened and that makes it work.

We found no way around it, it is the way Google maps embedding code works.

Sorry if I didn’t find the discussion…I did do a search before posting, but there is so much content that has been posted on the forums that it can be hard to find, and I haven’t been following along since day #1, or day #1k for that matter which doesn’t help. lol

Anyways, I did manage to make this work by using a different map plugin that may be of use should anyone find this thread.
