I just uploaded Show Posts 2.0.4. All the drop downs selectors work now. Unfortunately, the download settings worked on my test site, but apparently does not on real sites. Will have to continue to work on that.

Turns out almost no one must have been using the Download settings option as it has been broken for quite some time due to https protocols in current browsers.

Seemed important to update the broken option setters.

Note – this seems to be an error or some problem uploading the plugin to WordPress. It uses a tool called svn, and I followed the absolute set of rules to upload the plugin, but it for some reason uploaded the wrong files! Unheard of. Will have to try to figure that one out.

Dont know if you have seen my other post below, but 2.0.4 does not fix the issue

On my site the problem is now infinitely worst, and the display of the show post list is now utterly broken (right side bar titled “looking for a book to read”, displaying html instead of the list of posts.

I’m not using show posts but show slider and the version 2.0 breaks sliders on my site fncta-midipy.fr. I already posted that but perhaps you did’nt see my post. Rolling back to version 1.7 solves the issue

I’ve been trying to get show-posts to work. I thought I had show sliders working, but that will take some time. The olde version was never broken, just needed to meet new security standards (and there has not been any sort of breech or issue discovered – just trying to update to pass the plugin  check).
