Sorry but been working over an hour and cannot find how to get the search box out of the menu bar. Was a checkbox in Weaver II but cannot find setting in Weaver Xtreme?
Do you mean the search box in the Header? That is the only one that “automatically” is displayed, and the checkbox for it is in the Header tab in the first section.
Otherwise, the only way to get a search in the menu bar is by adding a [search] shortcode to the menu’s Left or Right HTML area, and you would have done that manually, and can just remove it.
Thank you. I feel really stupid. I looked at every line/setting 3-4 times and never saw it! Guess my brain was looking for a check box and not a dropdown.
I guess we are a fuzzy in our terminology. In a general sense, we refer to all Weaver options as a whole as “checkbox” options, meaning that you can select from some pre-defined option – be that a true checkbox, a radio button, a drop down, or a color picker. Don’t want to repeat that sequence every time :-).
