The Login area on my frontpage lists Register, Log in, Entries RSS, Comments Rss, Word Press … I’d like to delete one or two of the items. I’m using Weaver-Xtreme. all my folders on on my server. I need specific instructions as I’m a WP-Beginner.
-ThanksI believe you are seeing default widgets being placed in your widget Areas.Go to Appearance > Widgets, and explore all widget areas, and remove the ones you do not wantThey will be widgets. To remove any of them, go to Appearance > Widgets in your Dashboard and look in the Primary Sidebar (or other) widget area (you may need to open up the area by clicking on the little triangle). Then drag the widgets you don’t want out of the widget area you found them in – you can drag them down to the Inactive Widgets area if you wish to retain their settings but not have them visible. If you ever decide you want one or more of them to be visible again, you just drag them out of the inactive area back to an active area.
I did as you said but it removed the entire block of items. I still would like to have the Login, Register and Logout items. Would I have to find a widget that will do just this and up load it?
One other question: I uploaded a calendar to one of my sidebars on 09/20. The calendar has been in place but the date on the calendar is still reading 09/20 … how do I correct this?
Again, thanks for your helping.May be someone else here will have your answer, but I dont, so I am just suggesting a place where you will have better chances to get one…No need to feel offended, Gee 🙂Finally to take a guess on your questions.If a widget does not do what you want, well, yes you probably need to either find a plugin, or find out how to do the widget job manually.No idea how the WP calendar works, but if I had to guess, I would say it takes its date and time from the server WP is running on.
