ParticipantWent to download / install Quick Cache plugin. However, there is a note that Quick Cache is no longer supported and has been replaced with Zen Cache. Is Zen Cache the same as Quick Cache with all the special compatibility as regards Weaver Pro?

KeymasterI checked the code in Zen Cache, and the same special code seems to be there, so I assume it is compatible. Note it does require the Weaver Theme Support plugin to be supported.

ParticipantIm using zen cache, no problems at all with it

KeymasterNote that Zen Cache should have no issues at all with Weave Xtreme, and it appears to remain compatible with Weaver II which uses browser sniffing for some of its mobile capabilities.

ParticipantAnyone know how to clear the cache in quick cache?

ModeratorWorst case scenario, delete the plugin, then re install, that will clear the cache 🙂

KeymasterOne hopes you are not using Quick Cache any more. It is obsolete. Its replacement is Zen Cache, and the clear cache button is in the upper right of the ZenCache control panel.

ParticipantCornet Cache

KeymasterI don’t know if Weaver II supports anything called Cornet Cache. If that is the successor to Zen Cache, it would depend if the new version changed internal function names or not. There will be no future changes to Weaver II to possibly support other plugins.
If caching is important to you (it usually only helps a little bit on very busy sites), then you really have 2 choices.
1. Disable Smart Mobile mode which makes the output completely responsive, so any cache plugin will work.
2. Switch to Weaver Xtreme as it works with any cache plugin.August 16, 2016 at 22:18 UTC - Views: 11 #21695bochat
ParticipantCornet Cache is the new name of Zen Cache, earlier Quick Cache and works pretty good with weaver II pro, even with smart mobile mode and even with not very busy sites 😉 Not a reason to not switch to Xtreme 🙂

ParticipantNo problems with Comet Cache and Weaver Xtreme.

KeymasterThanks for the feed back. Apparently Comet Cache kept the same interface for the cache refresh.

ParticipantReference is still in Documentation (Legacy Option Interface) 2.0 ?
“We highly recommend Quick Cache” in Compatible Caching Plugins
August 7, 2018 at 17:42 UTC - Views: 9 #55905Weaver
KeymasterWell, that’s why it is Legacy Documentation – so we don’t have to go back and maintain it
.
I’ve removed the reference for the future…
The current story is:
Since Weaver Xtreme is totally responsive, essentially any
WordPress cache plugin, as well as external caching sites like
CloudFlare, should be totally compatible with Weaver Xtreme. -
