What code do I need in the HTML Insertion to make the primary menu as a fixed bar at the top of the page?

if you have plus, you simply add an Extra Menu shortcode to the Advanced options > HTML Insertion > Fixed top area.

If you don’t have plus, please provide a link to your site so we can see what may be the best approach, explaining if it is the primary or secondary menu bar you would like to fix at the top

We have plus, but what kind of Extra Menu shortcode should it be?

Go to Appearance > + Xtreme Plus > Extra Menu, and explore the options, you have the choice of the type (standard , accordion…) you probably want standard and then a style, Primary / secondary / Extra to use one of the options sets available in main options menus.

So a menu bar filled with the item of a custom menu named mymenu and using the primary style would be

    [extra_menu menu_name='mymenu' menu_style='primary' menu_type='standard']

You may need custom CSS on the Fixed top area, but we can deal with that once in place 🙂

Remember to read Item 4 in the thread below about making space for the fixed area
