I don’t usually use WordPress for blogs (I mainly use the pages for informational reasons) so I’m a little curious about something. On each post page, there is a section for several post formats.
How does Weaver correspond to each format option? In other words, what’s the difference between an Audio format and a Video format? Does each option affect the layout of the post?
I’m guessing I need to incorporate the Weaver Show Posts plugin in some way.

Moderator@weaver will have to answer the format question. I myself never found a good use for it 🙂
Weaver show post is valuable for the following situation.
- Wanting too mix content and posts in the same page.
- Having a show post widget that offers more option that the default WordPress one
- Combined with show slider, the possibility to make post sliders.

The post formats are in a way left over from WP before about 2012 or so. Before then, most themes supported post formats that would format each type a bit differently. I’m not sure what year it was, but at some point the WP “twenty-something” default themes stopped supporting post formats completely. But Weaver’s roots still go back to before that happened, and for compatibility, we’ve not been able to drop that support. So they are a bit of a legacy feature, and pretty irrelevant given page designers and the block editor.
