ParticipantThis has happened twice now. The first time I could not pin point the cause. I updated to the new version of Xteme yesterday 1.0.2.3 I am using the Easy Theme and Plugin Upgrades plugin to do the update. All the links to my NextGEN galleries have been removed. The only thing that has changed is that I updated yesterday.
I’m using the paid version of NextGEN Gallery which is the only way of getting slideshows!
I’m sitting here adding back in all the gallery links….
I’m also getting something odd also happening with NextGEN gallery and Table press. If I do a review from within WordPress I get an error message “You do not have permission to preview drafts.”
best regards
Peter
PS this is a typical page I have had to relink the galleries

KeymasterThere is nothing in the theme (or any theme, really) that ever touches content (other than the HTML insertion areas, which are essentially unique to Weaver).
It is extremely unlikely that anything in updated versions of Weaver Xtreme would do anything to NextGen anything.
There is nothing revealed in the link you provided.
But, really, Weaver never directly fiddles with posts or pages or media files, or entries in the WordPress database other than its own settings.

Participant@weaver I didn’t thins it did either… very odd though.
Spent the morning re-linking all the the NGG slide galleries.Any thoughts on the You do not have permission to preview drafts. issue?
Happy to give you access if you to take a look?March 12, 2015 at 00:58 UTC #20499Weaver
KeymasterAgain, not a theme issue. I’ve never heard of that one before. Only thought would be to ask if this is a Multisite WP, and if so, are you logged in as a Super Admin? Regular admins are still pretty restricted on Multisite.
Do you have any plugin that is doing anything with user roles?

Participant@weaver. No not a multisite wp. Just a standard Bluehost single domain implementation.

KeymasterReally don’t have any ideas on this. Some kind of configuration issue.

ParticipantI use a different theme, and also have the “Permissiions” issue after upgrading Nextgen to version 2.0.79. Please submit a report on the Nextgen forum.
