ModeratorI can load the pages but I still have no idea what the problem is, so you will need to make an effort in explaining it in a lot more details 🙂

Did any of this make sense?
Fixed the padding issue, I will provide three links to some test pages which should help illustrate my problem, http://bernstein-exhibitions.com/?page_id=158&preview=true, http://bernstein-exhibitions.com/sp3-slider/,  http://bernstein-exhibitions.com/?page_id=187&preview=true. The first URL is the design of the slideshow pages. There are seventeen of these pages each with it’s own slideshow. The second URL is how  I would propose to put the slideshow into the page after it has been set as a featured image. The third URL is a test slideshow which I hope can be created with a transparent background and the dropped into the second URL. This may be rather convoluted but I can’t think of a better way to do it. The other part of this is I still need to figure out how to convert the layered Slide images into images which can be used as a featured image each slide show produces it own short code and html which can be entered in the template.
Let me know your thought, sT

ModeratorNo it doesn’t, and this is why I asked you to elaborate 🙂
Sorry.
What problem in what page are you trying to solve?
The last issue we discussed before that last remark was the fact that a transparent content container over a black background wrapper would naturally show black, and so if seeing black in the content area was not what you wanted, why did you want to set the content background to transparent.
I am still not clear on that, and fail to get more by the three pages and your comment above.
So please take one problem at a time, explain what the problem is and what page illustrates it.

ParticipantThanks Scrambler,
Let me digest this and put a detailed thread together for you. I’ll have it off so it reaches you tomorrow at a reasonable time. The meta slider people are in the UK and a 9 hour difference between you and them. Questions are being answered and I am truly thankful for that. I’ve been up sense 3am and I’m going to call it a day. Thanks for all you are doing. And again please let me know how I might contribute for your efforts. At 66 I don’t have the where with all to learn all the nuances.
Hope to hear from you tomorrow, sT

ParticipantGood Morning Scrambler
1st URL, http://bernstein-exhibitions.com/secondary-test/. This is the graphic design image  I was given to make into a webpage.
2nd URL,http://bernstein-exhibitions.com/slider-featured-image/. This is the layered image created to nest the slide show.   Here is the short code for the slideshow, [metaslider id=198]. Here is the template include, <?php
echo do_shortcode(“[metaslider id=198]”);
?>  I want to place one of the codes in the greyed area on the layered image. Please Advise.3rd URL, http://bernstein-exhibitions.com/kids-page-2/, This is a test slideshow An example of what in need to embed in the grey area.
There are seventeen to these slideshow pages I need to create. My plan is to make each slideshow exactly the same so they will always nest in the same place. Any information you could share would be greatly appreciated. Hope this makes more sense.

ParticipantHello Again Scrambler
I have run into another problem. All my custom buttons on the Page Editor have disappeared. Hide Header, Hide Page Title, Hide Footer, etc. they all disappeared. I went to experiment with adding straight html and the next thing I new the custom buttons were gone. I checked the other pages and they are missing on all pages. The other pages have been saved and the content hasn’t changed. This is scaring the hell out of me. Please let me know what I need to do to fix this.

Moderator– To insert the slider inside you grey box, all you should need is to type the Slider shortcode inside the content of that box (however you are creating the box). There should be no need for any php stuff…
If that does not work, you need to speak to your slider plugin developer.
Whatever you typed in your third page to put the slideshow there, type it in your grey box div content.
– If your page options have disappeared, make sure the Plugin Weaver Xtreme theme support is installed and activated, as it is the one that brings them in.
If that is not the issue, you can try deleting the plugin and reinstalling it from WordPress. If still not the issue, try deactivating ALL non weaver plugin and see if that fixes it. If it does reactivate one by one, testing in between.

I placed the slideshow short code in the grey box. The slide show starts but has moved and the the thumbnail navigation is off. And after a few slide it crashes the whole page and it goes to white. Were is the grey box div content?

ModeratorI don’t know what you are doing, it Is all messed up. I don’t know if you are messing up metaslider or something else.
1- How are you creating that page content, what do you have in the Content editor of that page?
2- Create a test page and insert only the metaslider shortcode in that page, see if that works and give us the link to that page.
3- Then in your final page http://bernstein-exhibitions.com/slider-featured-image/ just have the grey box like before, and explain how the page content is created, and if possible give us the content of the page content editor.
Note: rereading your earlier post, one phrase gives me pause:
“I still need to figure out how to convert the layered Slide images into images which can be used as a featured image each slide show produces it own short code and html which can be entered in the template.”
I have no idea what you meant by that, and a slideshow cannot be used as a featured image (that I know of), if this is really what you are trying to do, you will need to elaborate on what you are doing….

ParticipantScrambler should I send aspirin?
1- How are you creating that page content, what do you have in the Content editor of that page?1- How are you creating that page content, what do you have in the Content editor of that page?
The image in the content editor is a layered image slide. which allows me to add navigation and the grey box where the slide show goes. I want to make these into featured images, maintaining the layers and allowing the nesting of the slideshow. Here is the HTML.
[metaslider id=9]
2- Create a test page and insert only the metaslider shortcode in that page, see if that works and give us the link to that page.
I’ve provided that a couple times now, 3rd URL, http://bernstein-exhibitions.com/kids-page-2/.
3- Then in your final page <b></b><b>http://bernstein-exhibitions.com/slider-featured-image/</b> just have the grey box like before, and explain how the page content is created, and if possible give us the content of the page content editor.
The page content is the HTML provided above. This is generated by the single layered image in this particular slideshow,  [metaslider id=198]. At first Metaslider also said this would not work, then said it should work by making some changes to the source code provided. I have sent them a similar email, but have yet to hear back. Sorry for the headaches, I truly appreciate your efforts.

ModeratorTo post code, once you paste it, you need to select it, and select the “preformatted” paragraph style (post content editor toolbar)
Some questions about your remarks.
1- “The image in the content editor is a layered image slide. which allows me to add navigation and the grey box where the slide show goes.”
I have no idea what is “a layered image slide” is that a fancy name for the metaslider slider, or some layout / page builder plugin? If you are using a layout plugin like a page builder, you will need to speak to them to explain why adding the slider messes things up.
“ I want to make these into featured images”
Are you speaking of the Worpdress featured image selected in the page editing page, or just a general image in the content? Because the WordPress Featured image is just that an image.
2- I know you provide the page, before just wanted to be sure. That page does show you know how to create the slider at the size you want. SO that is good.
3- “This is generated by the single layered image in this particular slideshow”
I think this is where the problems are. As I mentioned, I have no idea what it is you call the single layered image. But if this is a plugin, and when you plug the slider shortcode in it, it messes up, you need to speak to them.

Participantscrambler I see the html didn't go through again. However I was able to save it on awordpress page and you will find that at the bottom of the page. Here is what I sent Metaslider after receiving your post this morning.
Hello again DavidÂWanted to share this, here is the WP URL I created with the html source code, after layers have been added to the slide, http://bernstein-exhibitions.com/htmlcode/?preview_id=239&preview_nonce=a53c19317e&_thumbnail_id=-1&preview=true..I want to keep the layersbut change the image to a static website page. You wrote,“You would need to isolate the slide HTML from the page source, and save this.” Can  you tell mehow to isolate the html from the slide source. I know it can be done by creating the pages in DreamWeaverbut, that would still require placing the slide show. Let me know your thoughts.Always, sTscrambler here is a web both you and Weaver helped out with a number of years ago,http://www.corporationhall.com, It has a number of slide shows which if I remember right had to be embed in CSS. Also, on the same sight here is a link http://www.corporationhall.com/sustainability-1/, where I was able to create transparent links to URLs for each of the buttons using DreamWeaver. This is what I need to do for each of the pages I am creating for the website. Each page is a individual page with different colors in every menu navigator.Tell me where to send the aspirin, sTSeptember 9, 2017 at 18:05 UTC - Views: 41 #51320scrambler
ModeratorYou did not answer my question on #1 above. I believe the issue is whatever you are using for the page layout.
I have no idea what you mean when you speak of layers.
What I can do is give you the HTML that would create a block of text, and a container for a slider.
It looks like you want to create two columns in the page, one with the text on the left (Edwin carter museum…) and one with the slider on the right.
An easy way to do that would be to use the column class described in the article below
So do me a favor:
Create a test page.
In the content area place the HTML below, and tell me if that is what you are trying to do.
carter museum
<div> <div class="content-2-col">First column content, put the Edwin carter Museum content there</div> <div class="content-2-col">Second column content. Put you slider shortcode there</div> </div> <div style="clear:both;"></div>

Participantscrambler,
Here is a short youtube video which will perhaps better explain what I am trying to do.
I took a static jpeg image and uploaded it to the Media Library, I then imported it into the Mete Slider Pro and turned it into a layered image. I then created little transparent images attached to a URL which could be placed over the Menu Navigation. I did this because I have 34 pages all with different colors and type. I thought this would be the easiest way to create the Menu Navigation. I now want to place  a different slideshow on the right hand side of seventeen of the pages..
If I add the two columns, I am afraid I would loose all the navigation for those seventeen pages.
I looked at the two column tutorial, and placed the html on a test page.
Be creating two column page I am afraid, I would have to change all the graphics that we’re provided.
Please advise, sT
