Phone Width Issue on Edit

I usually access this Forum on my phone in portrait mode and all works 100%.

I notice that when I edit one if my own posts here, the page will go full width and I need to turn to landscape mode to see the full text width.

However, the keyboard also goes full width, leaving only a single line of text visible. So editing is rather difficult.  😀

I clicked on the edit button of posts by others as a test, and the page views stayed in portrait mode as normal.

I am not quite following.

I am editing this post on my phone so i can see if i have the issue, but so far i dont. I am adding more text to check what happens. As i type it rolls to next line properly. I am on chrome on android.

I closed my edit, then went back in, and it is still good.

Still looking god on phone while editing

I can’t reproduce the problem, I tested on my previous post adding content from the phone, and the text was not cut off in the edit window.

Using Chrome on android

I guess it is a problem on just my phone then.

Have you tried chrome to see if it is a browser issue?

To make sure I understand, are you saying that with the phone in portrait mode, when you edit the post, the text in the editing box is cutoff as if it was flowing outside of it on the right?

Yes. but it includes the title too, as in “Reply to: Custom CSS…”

As per the preceding screen capture image.

So it is not just the edit textarea. It is the whole area within the box container.

Since the screen cannot be swiped to the left, the only way to see the textarea contents is to change to landscape view, or use the desktop view, which allows zooming-in.

I’m guessing you don’t have this issue 🙂
