ParticipantHello,
I really hope, someone can help me with this:
How can I change the “Permalink to”-Text in the Titles of the search-results-page?For example, if I have search-results like:
Page One
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. Aenean commodo ligula eget dolor. Aenean massa…
Continue reading…Page Two
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. Aenean commodo ligula eget dolor. Aenean massa…
Continue reading…If I hover “Page One“, the Link-Title shows “Permalink to Page One”. But I want it to show “Link zu Page One” or just “Page One”
I managed to change “Continue reading”-Link into “Seite öffnen”, using the Post Specifics > Excerpts Options.
Also managed to translate the “nothing found…” – Text in the search.php.But I can’t find out how to change the “Permalink to”- Text in permalink-titles.
Hope for help. Thank you.

ModeratorThe only permalink settings I know of are in WordPress Settings > Permalink, and they are global for the whole installation.

ParticipantThank you, Scrambler, but that doesn’t solve my problem.
The permalink-link is ok, but he link-TITLE on hover in the search-results shows “Permalink to…” and I want another Text here. Not “Permalink to” but “Link zu”.
Nevertheless, thank you for the answer.January 19, 2016 at 02:20 UTC - Views: 5 #25987Weaver
KeymasterWhat language do you have installed. ALL messages like that (Permalink to) should be part of the appropriate translation file. Given that all of these translations were provide by volunteers and that we don’t have the resources to check all of them, it is quite possible there is a missing translation for “Permalink to” in a translation file.

ParticipantYou mean what language the wordpress-Installation is? It’s german. There is no german Version of weaver II pro, right? Or can I change the language of weaver pro somewhere?? Where can Im find the translation file?
I also had to change the other messages in the search.php. For example this:<?php if ( have_posts() ) : ?>
<header class=”page-header”>
<h1 class=”page-title search-results“><span class=”search-results-label”><?php printf( __( ‘Search Results for: “%s”‘,’weaver-ii’), ‘</span><span>’ . get_search_query() . ‘</span>’ ); ?></h1>
</header>Ich changed to:
<?php if ( have_posts() ) : ?>
<header class=”page-header”>
<h1 class=”page-title Suchergebnisse“><span class=”search-results-label”><?php printf( __( ‘Suchergebnisse für: “%s”‘,’weaver-ii’), ‘</span><span>’ . get_search_query() . ‘</span>’ ); ?></h1>
</header>
Is there any other way to do that?? And is there a solution to change the “Permalink to”-Text?Thank’s a lot.

KeymasterWeaver II and Weaver Xtreme include German translations, and when properly installed (WP installed with de_DE), then Weaver should show all visitor side messages in German.
(the admin side messages are not translated)
Note that the first search-results you changed is in an HTML class, and should never be touched. The second is wrapped in the __(‘english’,’weaver-ii’) translation call (the __), which should mean that the phrase should show as “Suchergebnisse für:” already. That phrase is definitely included in the Weaver II translation files.
So, if you aren’t seeing that, there is something faulty about your WP installation.

ParticipantNow I have renewed the installation op wp 4.4.1 and also updated weaver pro 2.2.2 in the save/restore section.
Result:
Search results shows “search results for…” and if nothing was found it shows “Nothing Found
Sorry, but nothing matched your search criteria. Please try again with some different keywords.
English again :-(. Please help me, what can I try? Really need this in German.
Thanks.

KeymasterWhich version of German did you select? Weaver II Pro supplies only the de_DE version. If you selected the (Sie) version, the translation does not work.
I set up my own de_DE site, and found that the “Nothing found” message displays in German. I did notice that the “Search Site” grayed example text in the search box is not translated. You can supply your own text for that particular message by using the Main Options : General Appearance : Search Form : Search Message option.
And just to be certain, when I setup my test site using the (Sie) German, many of the default WordPress strings showed in German, but theme based visitor side messages did not. One obvious thing to check is the Meta Info lines on posts (“Posted on” and “by”). If those are also in English, then I would guess you used something other than the default “Deutsh” selection for the site language. I suspect that renaming the /wp-content/themes/weaver-ii-pro/languages/de_DE.mo to de_DE_formal.mo (if you use Sie) might fix that.

ParticipantHey, now I found out, what is wrong: In the search.php ist says:
printf( __( ‘Search Results for: “%s”‘,’weaver-ii’)
but in the de_DE.mo File is no translation for that.Only for Search Results for: %s without the “”.
For now I made a child theme and put the complete search.php into it,only replaced “%s” with %s.
Works, but will be gone after an update.Do you see another solution?
Thanks

ParticipantPS: I have the normal de_DE version, not Sie-Version. Everything works except the Search Results.

KeymasterThis is a bug, and it has been there a long time. I’ve posted Weaver II and Weaver II Pro 2.2.3 in the usual places:
http://pro.weavertheme.com for the Pro version, and http://weavertheme.com/download/?did=1 for Weaver II.
January 21, 2016 at 13:18 UTC - Views: 3 #25995hacki77
ParticipantI tried to download it, but always when I click on
Download Weaver II Pro Version 2.2.3
I get to the “Buy now”-Page.
Yes, I am logged in.Tried with firefox and IE and Chrome.
What am I doing wrong?January 22, 2016 at 03:24 UTC - Views: 5 #25996Weaver
KeymasterPlease try again. This seems tp be a failed “automatic” update of the membership plugin. Downloads seem to be working for my test user now. Sorry.
