I run a number of sites with xTreme and Plus

The problem exists only on this one

    https://www.atherstonefolkclub.org.uk/

The Per Page option panel displays correctly in the editor

The Per Post option panel is not displayed at all.

I have just logged in using the credentials, sent privately to the Moderators, and the option panel is working!

Logged out, and then in as the main admin..

    NOT working!

So, I set up a new admin account and logged in as that.

    Working.

    Comments would be appreciated.

I tried you test page. I could see both Per Page for pages and Per Post for post options when I opened random pages or postes.  This is what you are experiencing if I understand your most recent post.

But if you long as your own admin account, it doesn’t show Per Post options?

If that is correct, my only suggestion would be to check out the User Role Editor and/or User Access Manager plugins you are using. I vaguely remember that they allow very specific additions/restrictions for each user. Perhaps they are overriding some permission Per Post editing expectsyout? Simply disabling those plugins should allow you to easily test.

If that solves the issue, then you could perhaps figure out what permission you may have overridden for you own admin account.

Thanks for the response Yes, I CAN now see the options on pages AND posts.

As I say, I had to set up a new admin account, and delete the old one to get to where I am now – working.

I have been using both plugins you mention on numerous sites for years without an issue, and have not changed any settings recently (not intentionally, anyway!)

I will take a look and see what I can find.

    Many thanks.

    @phillip_benson

According to WP, WordPress 6.6 is compatible with exceptions with PHP 8.1, and PHP 8.2, and beta compatible with PHP 8.3.

You are using PHP Version: 8.3.7, which may push the compatibilities of plugins….. to untested levels.   Just saying….

    Regards.

Generally, the last version number of PHP (e.g., x.x.7) are small bug fixes, but don’t add features. So, in theory, any 8.3.x version should be compatible. And this is also mostly true for the 2nd version digit. Only the major version usually adds major changes, and the newer versions are usually backward compatible with earlier versions. But if I recall, PHP 8 is not backward compatible with PHP 5. (There really was no PHP 6.)

We keep Weaver Xtreme compatible with the latest PHP versions. We’ve had to update to some of the new PHP variable type features, but this is really a good thing as features like that are great improvements to getting secure code.

But all this is just FYI stuff – almost certainly not related to your issue.

    Thanks for the info.

I have set the PHP version to 8.1 following your advice.  Are there any specific options I should set other than those recommended for WordPress operation?
