I am using Xtreme 5.0.7. My sandbox site is at https://mysandbox.cloudaccess.host/ where I am trying to work up a prototype for a site. I had the title and tagline overlaying the image, but after I changed tagline color, the header had to be reconstructed, as I use HTML for the image (a map), and I lost the overlay. I have spent over an hour going over the header settings and I cannot find what was probably a simple menu item. Please help.

ParticipantOkay, it works if I just use an image, but with the HTML option it does not work. If that’s the case, please confirm and I’ll work with that. Thanks for your patience as I worked through this.

ModeratorIf you need to use the HTML and the overlay does not work with that, we may be able to make it work with Custom CSS, but we need you to put the HTML in and post back so we can see why it is not working and eventually come up with a workaround.

ModeratorThe rules below should do it (placed in the theme global custom css rule box)
#title-tagline {position:absolute;width:100%;z-index:1000;}
@weaver, it seems the option to move title and tagline over the header image does not work when using the header htmL replacement box. Should that be considered a bug and be fixed?March 9, 2023 at 20:10 UTC - Views: 24 #71982dskirk
ParticipantFirst, a BIG THANKS to Scrambler. That works. Much appreciated. 🙂 I noticed that parallax doesn’t work with the HTML. Is that a possibility?
To Weaver: I’m flattered you ask my opinion. I guess it could be called a bug, in that it can be inferred that the use of HTML instead of an image still allows all uses of images. But that could also be addressed by documentation in the box offering HTML in place of an image explaining restrictions. It’s a minor feature I requested, and I would have been quite content with a ‘no.’ Fixing it in every use, such as parallax, may not be worth the effort for a small feature. Thanks for asking, but I don’t consider the fact that it doesn’t work as a bug, especially if it interferes with getting version 6 released. Thanks for all you and Scrambler do.

ModeratorWeaver has not commented, I use the @ weaver to he would be notified of the question I am asking him 🙂
What do you mean exactly by “I noticed that parallax doesn’t work with the HTML” ?

ParticipantThe heading does not respond in parallax mode when I use the HTML heading in place of an image. My error. I should have used @weaver in my response. My apologies.

No you cannot parallax a header HTML replacement, because that could be any HTML not just an image, and only an image can be used as a parallax BG.

ParticipantThanks for that, Scrambler. And thanks for your earlier assistance. I’m looking forward to release 6.
