Number of Blogs That Show Up On Page With Posts

How do I change the number blog posts that show up on a page with posts page without having to click on a link for “older posts?”  Is there a recommended number of posts that should show up on a page with posts before it starts slowing it down?  Here is my page that I am directly curious about.  http://www.mrfunkyteacher.com/students/funky-class-blog/

This is a wordpress setting in Settings > Reading.

Speed wise it all depends about how heavy is the content in your posts. If you have images, make sure they are as light as possible
