I am not HTML savy and previously used an html example given on Xtreme theme support. Then I downloaded the X-plus and that example is no longer displayed. Everything worked well. Subsequently I needed to replace the image and so I placed the code <img src=”myhome.domain” code but now the image I had wanted as a background appears below the background color and is not attractive at all. I cannot find the example code to use—HELP

If you can supply a link to the site in question, and perhaps describe what you want to do, we might be able to help more. But there simply is not enough detail in your question to provide a helpful answer.

When I have image rendered as parallax (or as responsive image, or static image in header), it appears as shown. It only works when rendered as image in header. I had copied an example of the html code to use given in the theme support but that example disappeared when I downloaded the Xtreme Plus. What I wanted to do is replace the front header image with parallax—-but I am assuming I can’t do this.

I am having difficulty understanding what you want to do.

If you want your header image to be used as a parallax background for the header, you do not need any code, you just need to select Main Options > Header > HEader image > Header Image rendering > As Parallax BG.

You may also want to check the Title and Tagline option to move them over the header image is they are supposed to be over the parallax background.

If not, your header parallax are would be empty and have no height, and so you would need to use the header image options “Minimum Header Height” to give the parallax area a height.

Once you do that, if it does not do what you want, post back and explain what is wrong
