Need a Player for MP3’s

I am searching for a good player for playing a single mp3 file in each instance of use. I do not need to play a list in each instance.

If you just specify a URL for the mp3 file, the default WP player is usually adequate.

Or, as I said, even simpler:

http://example.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/your-music-file.mp3

Just copy the URL direcly from your media library as-is into your content. You really don’t even need the audio shortcode, although it will work, too.

I tried both, they both work just fine. but i did notice that the short code option gives you more options for playing it back. thanks to both of you for replying

 same for video?   How would i convert a .mp3 file to .ogg

Same for video, except there is a video shortcode as part of Xtreme with its own options (look in the Add-ons page.

I don’t know if WP knows about .ogg files.

But all of this is beyond the realm of this support forum. Adding audio links to pages/posts is a well known topic that is no doubt discussed many places on the WP site or by searching Google.

This is a content creation issue, not a site layout or design issue.
