I am working on a site – http://www.pulseisrael.com/
I want to put a navigation in the top bar where it says “navigation here”
how do I do that?

[site_tagline matchtheme=true]April 18, 2017 at 14:26 UTC - Views: 69 #48276
You could add the logo and menu in the header area using instead of the pre wrapper.
Here are a few articles from the Weaver Guide to help you get started.April 18, 2017 at 14:39 UTC - Views: 65 #48278
I guess what I am asking is if I need to do the menu manually or if I can use a shortcode or something and still use the menu builder?April 18, 2017 at 15:14 UTC - Views: 63 #48279
I see that there is an insertion point for the navigation in plus, but this client does not have plus. any way to do that in regular?April 18, 2017 at 15:35 UTC - Views: 61 #48280
All the support for extra menus is found in Weaver Xtreme Plus. Your client could pay you a bunch to build a custom menu which would require finding an appropriate plugin or writing custom PHP code, or they could pay a tiny bit for a Weaver Xtreme Plus license.April 18, 2017 at 15:56 UTC - Views: 58 #48281
Ok but what I want to do is definitely available in plus?
have the navigation where it says “navigation here”April 18, 2017 at 16:04 UTC - Views: 57 #48282
I don’t want to distract you from buying plus which is a very valuable option that indeed allows you to insert menus anywhere, but as Maureen said you can do your header with logo on the left and menu on the right using the regular Secondary menu bar.
All you need to do is add your logo as the WordPress logo and add it to the menu bar with the standard options.
Read guide article below on how to proceed.April 18, 2017 at 16:34 UTC - Views: 52 #48283
Adding to a menu bar is certainly possible – that is partly why the new feature was added to 3.0. See the menu used on this forum for an example. You can change bg color, move the menu, or use the secondary menu. You can adjust the height of the menu or the logo in menu bar. This simple mechanism works for many designs, but if you need more control of menus, you’ll need Weaver Xtreme Plus.April 18, 2017 at 16:57 UTC - Views: 54 #48284
Thanks so much, I think I got it right. Now the only question I have for this is since I have it full width the header is 100%/ I had to make it full width in order to get the slider full width. It wouldnt work if I manually checked off the options in the full width tab….So How do I bring in the header (logo and nav) so its at about 1450px (centered) ?April 18, 2017 at 17:29 UTC - Views: 62 #48285
Please read the full width design article and come back with questions if needed
What you want is set your sitewidth to 1450px to limit content width.
Then put your sider in The header mage HTML replacement, not the Header HTML
Then use the full width option page to “Expand” the header image so the slider is full width, and “Etxtend” the areas that need a full width Background but a Limited width contentApril 18, 2017 at 17:36 UTC - Views: 50 #48286
Yes that is what I have done (just had to move the slider to image replacement from header html…
but the menu and logo are still full width…how does that get fixed?April 18, 2017 at 18:03 UTC - Views: 44 #48287
ok, so I got the check boxes right, but the white area of the header area overlaps into the slider. how do I fix that?April 18, 2017 at 18:27 UTC - Views: 41 #48288
Not quite sure why that is, but your metaslider has a z-index of 0, if you change that to a 1000 it fixes it.April 18, 2017 at 19:20 UTC - Views: 43 #48289
Your issue is coming from the fact that you have an empty info bar creating a space overlap that covers the top of your slider
Hide the whole info bar in Main Options > Menus > Info bar section
You also need to uncheck Move Site title over header imageApril 18, 2017 at 19:30 UTC - Views: 30 #48290
great, thank you so much. I think everything looks right now…
on mobile, how do I move the menu icon from left to right hand side?April 18, 2017 at 19:37 UTC - Views: 32 #48291
Unless the cache is not refreshed, the top 20px of your slider is still covered up.
I misspoke earlier, it is not Hide info bar but Hide site title and Hide site tagline that need to be checked.
Make sur that
Main options > Header > Site title / Tagline > Hide site title AND Hide Site tagline are checked
Main options > Header > Site Title tagline > Move Title / Tagline Over Header image is Unchecked
