More options: freedom to choose !

I just encountered some problems with a few issues (e.g. social icons and smart menus). So I’ve been thinking lately, and came to conclusion that maybe user could benefit by having more freedom to choose.

Let’s consider the case of WordPress Seo by Yoast. It has an option that I would never use.

Use meta keywords tag?

I don’t know why you’d want to use meta keywords, but if you want to, check this box.

But the developer left it there, even most of us wouldn’t use it. 

Coming back to Weaver Xtreme theme, I’ve seen the stats on the theme page on wordpress.org, and there is not much fuss on the chart.  The support plugin is even lower. 

Maybe you could get more users if you apply this principle wisely.
