Foolishly, I installed AMP for WP and immediately got problems, including that it seemed to cause my mobile/tablet navigation to cease functioning. I then remembered that Weaver Xtreme includes that functionality, so I uninstalled it, no change — mobile/tablet nav does not work. Client is not happy. Help!

Moderatoronce you deactivated and Uninstalled the plugin, clear all your caches.
If you still have issues, provide a link to the site and be specific about what does not work

ParticipantThis started July 30, 2021 and believe me, I have done all the uninstalling and cache clearing, had the Dreamhost techs on it several times, and they are the ones who suggested I go to Weaver Xtreme for answers. Desktop version is working fine. Thanks much for giving it a look-at — Leslie Riggins

ModeratorJavaScript is broken on your site as shown by the browser developer console errors.
Usually this is caused by an optimization plugin that optimizes Js and CSS. The Theme Js and CSS are already optimized and should not be optimized further as it usually breaks the site.
Check if you have any plugin that optimizes CSS and JS (or an option to do it like Jetpack) and deactivate that.
If you cant find one, deactivate ALL non weaver plugins and see if the issue disappears
If it does, reactivate one by one testing in between to find the culprit

The problem is that jQuery is not being loaded. This would have to be some plugin that is blocking loading of Javascipt.
Normally, Weaver Xtreme does load jQuery, but that load statement is missing.
And that is why the mobile menu is not working – it uses jQuery.

ParticipantYour efforts are most appreciated and as soon as I read the first few lines I knew exactly what to do. It was with Webcraftic Clearfy. I had turned on “aggregate CSS files” which states “this may break things!”, but I’d never used the plugin before and did it anyway in a fit of wild abandon. Turned it off, saved it, and problem healed. Thank you thank you.

ParticipantThanks so much for your answer! I installed Webcraftic Clearfy plugin for the first time and had checked ” aggregate CSS files”, which broke things. As soon as I turned it off and saved it, problem solved. Thanks again! Whew.
