Menu styling

Hi Scramber – I’m adding my question to this thread since it is similar. However it is only about font styling, not about background color. The behavior I have an issue with can be seen on http://www.InternationalRealtyTeam.com/buying.  You’ll notice that the current page on the main menu is bold italics. However, the vertical menu used in the sidebar widget does not show the page in bold italics.  In Main Options>Menus>Options: All Menus, I checked Bold Italics.  Should that setting affect the vertical menu in the widget?  And one other question, if a sub-page of a parent page is active, should the parent page display in bold italics in the main menu and should the active page display in bold italics in the vertical menu?  I think it worked that way in Weaver II Pro.  Thanks for you excellent and thorough help as always.

you issue is different.

You are probably using the X-Plus menu widget with the simple vertical menu type in the sidebar, which do not have the Current page styling.

If you choose the Vertical Accordion type for it, it will inherit the full styling.

If you need the simple vertical menu because you want all sub menus visible all the time, you can style the current page of the simple vertical menu with instruction in item #5 of this tutorial post
