ParticipantI just updated https://kromopanusa.com/ to Weaver Xtreme 6.2.1 and the background-image color gradient is no longer working.
Was using css: {background-image: linear-gradient(#7f80b0, #ffffff);} with the Site background-color option.
Thanks,
Cathy

ModeratorWhere exactly did you put that CSS rule

ModeratorActually, @weaver,I did try adding the CSS rule to the site background color CSS+ box, and it does not show up in the CSS on the body tag.
Adding the same rule to the wrapper BG color CSS+ box does work, so it appears to be specific to the body tag CSS+

ParticipantYes, it was in the CSS box for the body.
I think there is something wrong on the css for the body because I had also updated: https://schaumburgtowers.com/ to 6.2.1 which had the css:
.home #header {
background-image: url(‘https://schaumburgtowers.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/home-page-background.jpg’);
}which was on the body for only the home page. The background image is needed to cover the second delay before the video starts.

KeymasterThis works with the Customizer with the newest 6.2.1.0.1 trial version which I’m hoping fixes the other issues with CSS at the top.
I added the code to Customizer -> Custom CSS -> Wrapping Areas.
If it is not working with the 6.2.1 version, try the new “beta” download:
I’ll try the Legacy version, too.
FOLLOW UP: Seems to work from the Legacy interface as well with the new version.

ParticipantI uploaded the Beta version via FTP and it does fix the problem so thank you for that. However, I can now no longer log into the admin dashboard. Gives a generic error about a technical problem when trying to get to the login screen. But WP sends an email with this error: An error of type E_PARSE was caused in line 1 of the file /home1/kromopan/public_html/wp-content/themes/weaver-xtreme/admin/admin-core/admin-page-posts-meta-boxes.php. Error message: syntax error, unexpected ‘if’ (T_IF)

KeymasterSorry – this is a difficult situation that likely requires using the host admin cPanel or similar interface.
I cannot reproduce the issue, and the admin-page-posts-meta-boxes.php file does now have any errors on any of my test sites. I can only guess that the .zip upload or unzip failed.
I tried logging out, and can log back in, open a page, and all seems okay.
Several other uses have uploaded that file as well.
At this point, I might try downloading a theme (Weaver Xtreme 6.2.1 is the current weaver version, which should get you back into admin.
I am about to upload WeaverXtreme 6.2.1.1 which seems to fix the issues with 6.2.1.
But then you should be able to upload the .zip file to your /content/themes directory and unzip it, and that should fix the crash error.
The new version should start showing up within an hour or so.

ParticipantI had already unzipped it prior to uploading it but I can wait for 6.2.1.1.

KeymasterThe new version is uploaded and is showing up for me, but it can take longer to show up everywhere.
I have found trying to upload a set of files a large as Weaver Xtreme can be unreliable using a host’s file manager, so I do suspect there was a partial file uploaded somehow.
It used to be that if you had more than one theme in your themes directory, if you deleted/renamed one, WP would fall back to a different theme. Doesn’t seem to do that any more – just crashes.
