I feel as if I’m starting from the beginning again. So first I get Weaver Extreme, and then buy Weaver Extreme Plus? I know I had that. Please remind me if I need a font manager. I had one long ago —what other basic plug-ins do I need, or are they in Extreme? Yes, very basic questions, but it won’t take me long to get up to speed again.

As Weaver suggested here a few days ago “You should also install and use the Classic Editor and Classic Widgets plugins.”

Beyond those, I’d suggest keeping it lean and mean to avoid plugin bloat, so the site loads fast and maintenance is easier.

As for cache and optimization plugins, personally I prefer one for the page cache and one optimization.  I find that clearer than both functions in one plugin.  You also need to remember that all Weaver Xtreme CSS and JS is already optimized, so it all needs to be EXCLUDED from further optimization, else it will cause strange issues for the public pages.

Why Classic? Gutenberg seems so much easier. I’m not keen on relearning Elementor. If I use Weaver Extreme Plus, does that make any difference? I’m coming off a website that had blocks etc ready to use and it’s going out of business. I need to add the Mailerlite plug in for sure. Thanks for your help.

Can we paste images here, I’m stuck on the home page, it seems to be creating two sections with header images. And I can’t delete the second one. Not off to a great start.

Personally, I upload images for the Forum onto a WP site then copy the URL and past it here.

Then when its all resolved, I remove the images from the site.

If you are speaking about the New release section on the right, it looks like you used a block columns but the content is indeed not centered .

Likely a configuration issue with the bock.

Eventually delete the block and try recreating it to see if you can get it centered.

You can use the block editor if you wish. But Weaver Xtreme is not a block theme, and thus does not support the overall design layouts that a block theme will. But that is not the same as using the block editor for pages and posts.
