On this site I am designing for a cool radio station, I would like to place the player into the menu area, so that it is persistent and not in the way.

I realize that having persistence may be more difficult than just placing the applet in the menu, and perhaps a different menu plugin or a different paradigm might be needed.

So if you have any ideas, please let me know.

    HOW TO LISTEN

    Thanks in advance

You need to be more specific, as I see three widgets in the header widget area, that right now are weirdly on top of each other.
Before anything else, you can have them side by side by using 3 columns option in the header widget area options.

If you want to fix just the player (content of first widget) at the top with the menu, You have several ways to do that depending on how the player is inserted and the layout you want.

    1. If you are using HTML, you can use the menu HTML areas. There is one on the right , and one on the left, but the left requires the Xtreme Plus plugin which is not free.
    2. You could also use a menu item in the custom menu. Add a custom link menu item, type # in the URL, and paste your HTML in the Label box
    3. Finally you could the mega menus as explained in the article below
Mega Menus – Weaver Xtreme Guide (weavertheme.com)

As it will take a big space on the menu bar, as the browser gets smaller it will for it on two lines.

Alternatively if you want it to stick the whole header widget area at the top with the menu as it is, you could use the header widget area option “Fixed-Top Header Widget Area: “, as well as using the align area option “Align Full”
IF you have the Plus plugin you may need to play with the of the “header widget area position” option.

Ultimately we will need more details on the desired layout and behavior, and we may need to do some customization to whatever option provides the closest result.
